The Rogue Hens is a performance based collaboration of 4 women artists from west central Minnesota and the Twin Cities, all over age 55, who believe that older generations of artists are vital in their communities. In these culturally and politically polarized times, we value the life experience of community elders to find our universal connections through the power of art.
We are combining forces as mature artists in our individual artistic genres to create a performance project that will intertwine singing, dance and movement, poetry, and visual art, engaging our experiences with aging and with the unifying themes of Loss, Tumult, Worry, and Yearning. A free performance open to the public will take place on Saturday, January 11 at 4pm at the Angell Dance Arts Studio.

The collaborating artists are Linda Kachelmeier (composer) of St. Paul, Athena Kildegaard (poet) of Farwell, Jennifer Ilse (dance choreographer) of Minneapolis, and Vicky Radel (visual artist) of Norcross.

Get Involved!!!
The Rogue Hens is looking to involve people interested in singing and/or dancing. Participants must be over age 16; all ages, genders, and abilities are welcome! You don't need to be able to read music or know anything about dance. Our project will welcome everyone.

Dancers with a deeper history in modern/contemporary based dance are invited to participate in additional sections of the performance with an additional rehearsal.
