Use the professional ceramic studio in the Creative Arts Center to work individually on personal ceramic projects. A series of twelve dedicated 3-hour sessions. 

The Open Ceramic Studio will have designated time and dates for the community and AOTL Members to use the ceramic studio located in the CAC building. The purpose of the open ceramic studio is for individuals to work individually on personal ceramic projects. Individuals will need to have had prior ceramics background as no formal instruction on ceramics will be given. During the open Ceramic Studio hours, Dar Eckert, Kathrine McDowell, or other ceramics artists will be available for questions and assistance if needed.  

Equipment: Pottery wheels, slab roller, bats, project boards are available.
  
Supplies: 25 pounds of clay will be included in the cost and additional clay can be purchased.  Clay for purchase can either be stoneware or paper clay. No outside clay can be used unless approved prior to use with documentation of type and cone. We will bisque at cone 06 and glaze at cone 6.  

Commercial glazes are available for use. No outside glazes can be used without approval prior to use with documentation of cone from original container. There will be an additional charge of $5.00 per day for glaze. Glazes will be cone 6. Underglazes are available for use on greenware and an additional $5.00 per day will be charged when used. 

Miscellaneous supplies: plastic bags for wrapping  
Tools: Tools will be available for purchase or artists may bring their own tools.
Limited tools are also available for use.

Want to learn how to draw? Come on a creative journey with artist Anna Lassonde as she guides you through Betty Edward's book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain." In this 5-week course you will learn different drawing skills and techniques for sketching and improving your drawings. In addition to class instruction, students will use Edward’s well researched textbook and follow along workbook. Options for students to purchase books with the class or to find your own copies. If you chose to purchase your own, please email emma@dlccc.org for links or suggestions of where to purchase.

In class drawing supplies is available but you will want to have your own to work on your art from home.

16+/class size limited/ pre-registration required

Figure Drawing: Six Tuesdays, January 21 through February 25, 6-9 p.m.

 Connect with other local artists in these informal drawing sessions featuring a live model, led by a skilled professional artist. This welcoming environment is designed for artists of all experience levels to improve their skills, experiment with new techniques, or simply enjoy drawing in a supportive setting. Participants are encouraged to bring their preferred drawing materials, whether charcoal, pencils, or other media.
